[파이낸셜뉴스] 보이그룹 스트레이 키즈(Stray Kids)가 대중문화교류위원회 출범식의 피날레 무대를 장식했다.
2일 JYP엔터테인먼트에 따르면 스트레이 키즈는 지난 1일 오후 개최된 대중문화교류위원회 출범식에 출연해 특별 공연 엔딩 무대를 펼쳤다.
대중문화교류위원회는 대통령 직속 기관으로 JYP엔터테인먼트 창립자이자 대표 프로듀서인 박진영이 공동위원장(장관급)을 맡고 있다.
이재명 대통령은 이날 "미국 빌보드 '빌보드 200' 차트 70년 역사상 최초로 7개 작품 연속 1위에 오른 우리 문화의 자랑"이라며 스트레이 키즈를 소개했다. 전통적 요소를 결합한 웅장한 인트로와 함께 등장한 스트레이 키즈는 그룹 대표곡 '소리꾼'과 '神메뉴'(신메뉴)를 국악 버전으로 편곡해 선보였다. 탄탄한 라이브 퍼포먼스와 독보적인 무대 장악력으로 현장 관객은 물론 생중계를 시청한 글로벌 팬들을 열광케 했다.
방찬, 리노, 창빈, 현진, 한, 필릭스, 승민, 아이엔은 "대중문화교류위원회의 출범을 진심으로 축하드린다. 영광스러운 자리에 스트레이 키즈가 함께할 수 있어 감사드린다"라고 소감을 전했다. 이어 태권도 시범단 K타이거즈(K-TIGERS), 사자탈과 함께 그룹 통산 일곱 번째 '빌보드 200' 1위작 '카르마'의 타이틀곡 '세리머니' 합동 퍼포먼스를 선사했다.
최근 스트레이 키즈는 미국 빌보드 차트에서 막강한 그룹 위상을 재입증했다. 지난 8월 발매한 정규 4집 '카르마'는 현지시간 기준 10월 4일 자 '빌보드 200' 차트 18위를 기록하며 스트레이 키즈 앨범 최초로 5주 연속 20위 이내 순위를 유지했다. '월드 앨범' 차트에서는 5주 연속 정상을 차지하며 2025년 발매된 K팝 앨범 가운데 최장기간 1위에 올랐고, 타이틀곡 '세리머니'는 '핫 댄스/팝 송즈' 차트에서 K팝 역사상 두 번째로 5주 이상 차트인했다.
한편 스트레이 키즈는 오는 18~19일 인천아시아드주경기장에서 단독 콘서트 '스트레이 키즈 월드 투어 <도미네이트 : 셀레브레이트>를 개최한다. 데뷔 첫 국내 스타디움 단독 입성 공연으로써 의미를 갖는다. 해당 공연은 일찌감치 동났다. 일반 예매 이후 전 회차 티켓이 동났고 추가 오픈된 좌석까지 전석 매진됐다.
