(서울=뉴스1) 윤슬빈 기자 = 방탄소년단(BTS)의 신곡 '다이너마이트'가 빌보드 메인 싱글 차트인 '핫100 차트' 정상에 오른 것의 경제적 파급 효과는 1조7000억 원에 이르는 것으로 분석됐다.
7일 문화체육관광부와 한국문화관광연구원은 방탄소년단의 신곡 빌보드 '핫 100' 1위(9월5일자) 기록과 관련, 경제효과를 분석한 결과 이같이 나타났다고 밝혔다.
분석 결과에 따르면 이번 '다이너마이트'로 인한 직접적 매출 규모는 457억원, 이와 관련된 화장품, 식료품, 의류 등 연관 소비재 수출 증가 규모는 3717억원으로 추산했다.
또한 이러한 수익에 대한 산업 연관 효과를 보면 생산 유발 효과는 1조2324억원, 부가가치 유발 효과는 4801억원, 고용 유발 효과는 총 7928명에 이르는 것으로 분석했다.
이번 추산치는 한국문화관광연구원이 Δ빅히트 엔터테인먼트의 매출 규모 Δ한국은행 투입산출표 Δ관세청수출입 무역통계 Δ'구글 트렌드 검색량' 등을 종합해 분석한 결과다.
해당 분석 결과는 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19)으로 해외 이동이 제한되고 현장 콘서트 등이 전혀 이루어지지 못하는 현실을 고려해 외국인 관광객 유치에 따른 효과 부문을 제외한 결과다.
아울러, 직접적 매출 규모를 산정하는 과정에서도 현장 콘서트가 불가능한 현실을 감안해 순회공연 매출액을 제외하고 온라인 콘서트 매출액을 적용하는 등, 현실을 반영하고자 했다.
박양우 문체부 장관은 "방탄소년단이 이룬 성과가 경제적으로도 그 파급 효과가 막대하다는 것을 예측했는데 그들이 이룬 성과는 예상을 훨씬 넘어섰다"며 "BTS의 음악은 코로나19로 고통 받는 전 세계인들에게 일종의 치유제이자, 다시 한번 대한민국의 문화적 자긍심이 되었다"고 밝혔다.
한편, 방탄소년단과 영화 '기생충' 등 한류 콘텐츠 산업의 괄목할 만한 성장에 힘입어 국제지수도 상승했다. 지난 2일 유엔(UN) 산하 세계지식재산기구(WIPO)가 발표한 2020 글로벌 혁신지수에 따르면 우리나라는 전년 대비 1단계 상승한 10위를 기록했다. 지수를 발표하기 시작한 2007년 이래 첫 10위권 진입이며, 8위를 차지한 싱가포르와 함께 아시아 국가에서는 두 번째로 높은 순위다.
